Okay, here it is Katy, your Master List. I've never exactly done one of these Master List thingies before, but I enjoy writing Master List a lot in bold letters like that. There's so many tid-bits of Torchwood/Doctor Who Fandom that I can barely keep up with it. But I thought it would be nice to have one created for you, just to point out a couple of things if you've never noticed them before. Where to start?

First and foremost THIS list right here basically covers all of Who Fandom with a simple list of every freakin' community available. It really puts my list to shame, but I'll find a way to deal with it.

Fictional Pleasures:

Jack's Call is a short and sweet little story about Jack calling Ianto from the Hub. Lord knows I love a good spot of angst, but this was too enjoyable and simple to not rec in, even if it's not angsty at all. In fact, this was the first Jack/Ianto fic I had ever read!

Collateral is a story that I've just finished. I'm picky when it comes to Doctor Who/Torchwood stories because if it's not told in character it irks me to death. Then I stumbled upon this and my worries were washed away. Collateral is this story in which Jack has just come back from being with The Doctor, hoping to pick up where he left off with Ianto. Ianto, however, sees things differently and has already moved on. To Jay. But when things start to go crazy at Torchwood it's up to Jack to find out what the hell is happening. What I love about this story is that it's long, I can't really focus on short fics unless they're really to the point. It has a plot, and the characters are completely in form with the show. And you grow to love/hate Jay as his character is growing as well.

Interventions is a Jack/Ianto Doctor/Master story in which the Doctor wakes up in a cell with The Master after residing with Jack in the Hub for a while. From there they form an interlacement, or 'entrelacement' as it's also called, which is basically a marriage of sorts, and it's up to Jack to save both of them. And somehow Ianto forms a bond with the Master!

shaggydogstail really deserves to be in this list. My top favorite out of the three (because they're all winners) is Six Uses For a Stopwatch That Have Nothing To Do With Sex (And One That Does). There's also her Doctor/Master stories that are just as amazing, because there's nothing better than two people who hate each other and then get married. That, and the little essays and Squee!posts peppered in round it off nicely.

And lastly, some angsty sex to end it. Crossing the Bar is a story of how the Doctor may be able to avoid aging by hopping around in the TARDIS, but Jack can't. But does their love change because of this?

Art And Other Recreational Things:

An Illustrated Life is a story, but it's created in a photoshop format. God, I love this so much. The story is created from sticky-notes, IMs, letters and other forms of communication from the Torchwood staff. It's Jack/Ianto centered, of course, but it's funny and damn-right witty and had me giggling the whole time. So far there are only two parts, but she updates regularly.

doctorwhy is a place in which there's a daily comic of the Doctor going through the trails of everyday Time Lord life. It's funny and depressing at times, and that's the best part.

So there's this outbreak in which Captain Jack and Ianto go on dates. The catch? They're Build-A-Bears. It's so adorable, but at the same time still very 'Torchwood' if you know what I mean. ie: SEX.

IT B MACRO TEIM NAO:

Ever hated people who 'tYpe LykE Diz' all the time? And yet are sometimes compelled to type the same way? Never fear, the macro is here! Macros are basically pictures or screencaps or whathaveyou that have IMPACT font stuck over the front of them. When put in the right way it can cause a mass hysteria of LOLing that can last for days. I myself have dabbled in it a couple of times. It's like reading a comic, only more realistic. And badly spelled. Here's a few to start you off--

There's quite a variety, really. We have the Die!Tennant Series, which is basically Nine trying to steal Rose back from Ten and failing. There's the Teimcock Chronicles which is basically just the Doctor trying to make it through life. Then, of course, there's my favorite Macros, which are these epic, wild fandom stories about The Doctor and Jack and Rose and Martha and everyone else meeting with House and Chuck and Firefly and a whole bunch of other random shit.

Alas, there are a couple of other things, but I fear that the links are down at the moment. I suppose those will come in THE SECOND MASTER LIST! Dum dum dummmmmm!
